Mostly dry and sunny central and southern Europe but showery Turkey


Wednesday
Lots of dry weather again across the continent as high pressure remains in charge, centred around Germany and Poland. Western countries remain hot.
A chance of a thundery shower for north-west Spain, but most of Spain and Portugal will stay dry with lots of sunshine. Dry and very warm across the western Mediterranean. Thunderstorms breaking out near the south of Italy and Sicily, also mainland Greece, Romania and Bulgaria.
Dry across central Europe. Temperatures again well into the 30s Celsius for France. Risk of a thunderstorm later for Brittany. A warmer day for Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands, highs 27 to 30C. Rain soon spreads into Norway from the west, but elsewhere across Scandinavia it should be dry, and feeling warm in southern Sweden.


Thursday
A few showers in the Algarve today and some cloud and rain affecting northwest Spin too. Most other parts of Iberia should be dry with sunny spells. Fone for most of Italy with good spells of sunshine, although just an odd shower in the far south. Scattered showers forming this afternoon in Greece as well as parts of Turkey.
A fair and warm day in France with plenty of sunshine and staying fair for the Low Countries too. Dry again for Germany and warm, high pressure bringing lots of sunshine to Poland too. Austria and Hungary will be dry with lots of sunshine, but some showers in Switzerland.
Sunny and warm for Denmark and the Low Countries. Cloud and a few spots of rain to come through southern Finland. Outbreaks of rain tracking north through Sweden and southern Poland but drier and brighter in the north.
