High pressure brings dry and sunny conditions to much of northern Europe

Sunday
Scattered thundery showers for northern Spain and Portugal on Sunday, although southern parts of Iberia and the Balearic Islands should stay dry and sunny. Thundery showers also develop over mainland Italy as well as Sardinia and Sicily. Greece and western parts of Turkey also experiencing some heavy thundery downpours on Sunday.
Mostly dry and fine for France and Switzerland though isolated thunderstorms could develop over southern areas later. Dry and fair for the Low Countries and Germany with some high cloud around. Low pressure over Ukraine brings some heavy rain into southeastern Poland, the Czech Republic, eastern Austria, Slovakia and Hungary.
Dry and fine conditions for much of Scandinavia and the Baltic States. Some light rain could affect the far north of Norway, Sweden and Finland.

Monday
A mostly dry and fine day across Spain and Portugal though afternoon thunderstorms flare up over northern areas. Dry and fine too for much of Italy with a chance of afternoon showers in the south. A mixture of sunny spells and thundery showers for Greece and western Turkey on Monday.
A dry and fine start for much of France with thunderstorms flaring up later, especially to the southwest. A dry and sunny day for the Low Countries, Switzerland, Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic. Isolated showers affect Austria, especially to the east, Hungary and Slovakia.
High pressure continues to bring dry and sunny conditions across Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and the Baltic States. Afternoon showers could flare up around the Gulf of Bothnia.
