Rain in western Europe, better in the eastern Mediterranean


Easter Monday
Fronts move into Portugal bringing rain, whilst much of Spain remains dry and warm. A plume of warm air extends across France on southerly winds, reaching 16 to 19C. Mild air also reaches the Low Countries and Germany, 13 to 15C. A little rain possible for the Netherlands. High pressure builds across southern Europe, resulting in fair weather for Italy, the Balkans, and into central-eastern countries. A few showers locally for Romania. Low pressure over the Baltic states brings wet and windy weather, plus snow, and this system may also produce snow to Poland in the early hours but will clear into the daytime. Largely dry and bright for Scandinavia, perhaps a shower for northern Norway. Cold in the far north, around freezing. Highs of 5C for southern Sweden.

Tuesday
Rain for much of central and western Spain as well as Portugal. The rain may be heavy at times. Brighter in eastern Spain and the Balearics with good spells of sunshine. Rain for Corsica and northern Italy. Central and southern Italy will be dry with sunny spells. Greece and Turkey should have fine and warm days with good spells of sunshine throughout.
An unsettled day in France with rain throughout the day. Western France should become drier and brighter with a few showers. Rain and some showers over the Low Countries. Showers too for the far north of Germany, although most of southern and eastern Germany should be dry. Poland and Hungary as dry with sunny spells. Austria should be dry too with some sunshine hete, but rain arrives in Switzerland.
Cloud and some showery rain in Denmark on Tuesday. Baltic States will be cloudy with some rain. Finland is going to be dry with sunny spells. Staying dry with some sunshine in northern Sweden but some cloud and outbreaks of rain to the south. More cloud and rai in southern Norway but sunny spells to the north.
