Fine and warm or very warm conditions dominate across much of Europe as high pressure dominates, but more unsettled across Scandinavia by Saturday


Friday
During Friday and high pressure will dominate the weather across much of Europe. Fine weather with plenty of sunshine is forecast across the British Isles, down into France, through into much of Central Europe, so Germany, Switzerland, Denmark and eastwards towards Poland and other eastern countries as well. Warm or very warm through central areas of Europe during the afternoon the sunshine. Fine weather is forecast across much of Spain and Portugal, but some thundery downpours across southern areas are possible. Fine weather extends eastwards through much of the Med with plenty of sunshine in Italy and eastwards towards Greece. The most unsettled weather through the day will be across more northern areas of Norway, Sweden and Finland where often unsettled with rain or showers.


Saturday
Into Saturday and low pressure will continue to dominate across much of Norway, Sweden and Finland and it is across these northern areas of Europe where the coolest and most unsettled conditions will be through the day. Elsewhere and it is high pressure that will continue to dominate bringing further fine and settled conditions through much of Europe, extended westwards from Slovakia into Germany, down towards Italy, westwards into France and much of Iberia too. High pressure will also be maintained across much of the British Isles where it will also be warm as well. A very pleasant mid-April day is, as a result, to be expected across much of Europe, with the exception of far northern areas.
