Cooler, mixed conditions for northern and eastern parts of Europe


Tuesday
A mix of sunny spells and broken cloud across Spain and Portugal with widespread thunderstorms developing over Spain later. Cloudy but dry for the Balearic Islands. Dry and bright for Corsica, Sardinia, Italy, much of the Balkans, Greece and Turkey. A few thunderstorms possible over northern parts of the Balkans and over eastern Turkey.
A broken band of scattered showers affects southern France, Switzerland and Austria on Tuesday. Brighter, cooler conditions follow to the north. Scattered showers for northern Germany and much of Poland. Dry and bright for southern Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia after any early showers clear south.
Breezy and bright with scattered showers for much of Denmark, Norway and Sweden. Showers easing through the day. Cloudier for Finland and the Baltic States with scattered showers affecting Finland. More persistent outbreaks of rain for the Baltic States. Breezy here too.

Wednesday
Further scattered thunderstorms for northern parts of Spain and Portugal on Wednesday. A mixture of cloudy skies and sunny spells to the south. Thundery showers also affecting northern Italy, Corsica, northern Sardinia and northern parts of the Balkans. Dry and sunny for southern Italy, Greece and Turkey.
Mostly dry and bright for France, Switzerland and Austria though some showers may affect the far south. Dry and bright too for much of Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Cloud builds over northern Germany and much of Poland bringing showers through the afternoon. These may be locally heavy over central Poland.
A breezy day for Denmark with sunny spells and showers for eastern areas. A bright and breezy day too for much of Sweden and Norway with scattered showers. Some more persistent rain or sleet for western coastal parts of Norway. Cloudy for Finland with just the odd isolated shower. Cloudy too for the Baltic States with more frequent showers and outbreaks of rain.
