Western Europe feeling cool as low pressure draws northerly winds over that part of the continent. A mixture of varying amounts of cloud, sunny spells and wintry showers elsewhere. Best of the warmth and brightness in the southeast.
Cold and wet in the north of Spain today. Good spells of sunshine for Portugal and in the south of Spain. Rain in the Balearics, particularly focussed over Menorca. Wet for much of Italy too with rain in central areas and snow affecting northern areas. Bright and dry in the south and for Sicily. Fair in Greece and warm too. Staying dry in Turkey with more dry weather here.
Snow showers affecting France, some of them heavy. Cold with scattered snow showers in the Low Countries. Further snow showers in northern Germany, but dry to the south. Milder across Poland with sunshine and showers. Some snow affecting Hungary, Austria and Switzerland.
Denmark will be windy and cloudy but should stay mostly dry. A band of heavy rain and snow will move northward across the Baltic states and into southern Finland by Saturday evening. Snow is expected to move northward across Sweden in two bands through the day while away from the southwest coast, Norway should see a mostly dry and bright day.
A mostly dry and bright day for Portugal and Spain on Sunday though some wintry showers could linger over northern parts of Spain through the morning. Dry and bright too for the Balearics though still the chance of a shower for Menorca. In Italy there will be further rain for northern areas and along the western coast throughout the day. Showers too for western coastal parts of Greece but elsewhere in the country, and in Turkey, it will be fair and dry.
A dry and fine day for the Low Countries and northwestern France while southeastern parts of France will see further outbreaks of snow. Further snow too for southern and eastern portions of Germany but dry and brighter in the northwest. Switzerland, Austria and the Czech Republic will see a heavy spell of snow on Sunday that will extend into western parts of Poland too.
Denmark should be mostly dry and bright on Sunday while the Baltic countries will see a mixture of sunny spells and showers. A band of snow will spread northward through southern Finland and northern Sweden while southern Sweden should stay dry. Brightening through the day too. Some snow showers for southwestern Norway but elsewhere it should be a dry and bright day.
