Central Europe stays dry and cold as the west starts to become windier and wetter


Thursday
Heavy bursts of rain for the west of Portugal and northwest Spain on Thursday. Drier and brighter in the east of Spain with some scattered showers in the Balearics. Scattered showers and staying chilly for Italy with some heavier showers in Greece. Northern Turkey may see snow showers whilst the south should be dry and bright.
Breezy in western France and dry, with some sunny spells to the east. Dry for the Low Countries and Germany and staying cold here. More cold weather for Poland and Austria as well as Hungary and Switzerland. It should be staying dry in these countries though.
Dry and cold in Denmark and the Baltic States. Breezy for Finland but mostly dry. Staying dry across Sweden. Norway will be mostly dry but rain and strong winds affect the north.


Friday
An unsettled day for Spain and a href="/Portugal.htm" TARGET="_top">Portugal with periods of rain for many. The heaviest rain is likely to be in northern Spain and also along eastern coasts and hills. Wet in the balearics. Drier in Italy with sunny spells here and midler than recently. Greece should be fair with sunny spells. Showers affecting Turkey, some of them heavy and windy in the east. Dry to the west.
a href="/France.htm" TARGET="_top">France is rather cloudy with some outbreaks of rain, most in the west. Dry and breezy as well as cool int he Low Countries. Germany is breezy with some bright spells but feeling cold. Poland should be dry with sunny spells.
A dry day too in a href="/Denmark.htm" TARGET="_top">Denmark with some sunshine here. The Baltic States remains dry with good spells of sunshine and the dry weather extends into Finland as well. Sweden should be dry abd bright with some more sunshine here. Breezy but dry in much of Norway although low cloud on western coasts.
