Dry in eastern Europe, but showers or outbreaks of rain in the west


Tuesday
The very cold weather continues across eastern parts of Europe today with high temperatures below zero from Poland eastward into Russia. An area of heavy rain across eastern Spain moves into western France with showers across Portugal and western Spain, some heavy.
Some light rain persists across Italy today. High pressure will give a good deal of dry weather to Europe. A dry day with sunny spells across Belgium, The Netherlands, eastern France, Germany into Poland. Snow is expected to fall across the Baltic States, Russia and the Ukraine.
Some snow too across Turkey with western Turkey dry. Fine and dry across the Balkans and the Adriatic Region with a few showers across the eastern Mediterranean. It continues cold but dry across Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland. Another windy day across western parts of Europe and across the western Mediterranean.


Wednesday
Fair for Portugal on Wednesday. Some cloud and drizzle in the far northwest of Spain. Fair across much of Spain with sunny spells. A few showers are likely to be affecting the Balearics. Italy will be fair with good spells of sunshine and dry weather here. Staying fine in Greece with more sunshine and fine too in southern Turkey.
A few showers in the afr north of France but most of the country will be dry with sunny spells. The showers could affect the Low Countries in the afternoon, but for most of Germany it should be dry with sunshine. Poland stays dry with sunny spells here. Hungary, Austria and Switzerland should all be dry too.
Fair for Denmark with plenty of dry weather here. The Baltic States may have low cloud nd some drizzle on coasts, but brighter to the east. Finland is similar with some low cloud and drizzle on the coasts. Sweden is going to be dry with sunny spells, whilst Norway has a risk of showers on western coasts.
